You should watch this movie due to the following reasons:

1. unique plotline: never seen something like this before.

2. explores the characters and their personal struggles and their consequential emotions in a very adept manner: character development is evident in this film.

3. does a very good job at being extremely relatable; although one cannot relate to the part where you get to become a cat every so often.

4. potrays the "non-diagnosed depression" we all go through at some point in our lives. The feeling where we want the world to just end sometimes is potrayed here, and it is shown that there is indeed something ...

i am gonna be honest with you all, this movie was like a waste of time, its like someone tried hard to copy studio ghibli and failed terribly, this movie is super cringy and cliche.
started nicely and then hit a brick wall. this felt like i was forced to watch this movie.
If i had a chance to go back in time and stop myself from watching this movie, then i would definitely do that.
Seriously this movie had the most basic plots and literally the most predictable scenes
Art is the only thing which is decent here but rest of the criteria is ...

Mixed Feelings

The fantastic art and the Netflix feature misled me into watching this movie. The trailer also made it seem like this was a "professional" production, for the lack of a better term. The audio is fantastic too. But the main character just absolutely ruins it. The writing was is just plainly bad. Possibly the most unlikable main character in anime history. Every other character in this movie is objectively a nicer character. And the reason why I'm blaming the writing is because the main character does change towards the end, but it is not consistent. The character growth just seemed to follow the "formula" for ...

A whisker away is one part Spirited Away, one part A Silent Voice and one part Garden of Words. What seems like a sweet and cute movie on the surface is actually hiding some dark connotations about depression and sucidal ideation.

I think a lot of people are brushing this movie off because they themselves haven't experienced a darkness like that in there lives. What starts off as a very on the surface idea of escapism takes on a deeper meaning in the second half where our mc meets several individuals who gave up there human lives and now regret their decision to abandon their lives ...

"...I was sick of this world but now I know it isn't so bad; because I met Hinade after all."

Hello, welcome one and all. Today I will be talking about the story of the two who have trouble communicating with those close to them, but express their personalities in very different ways. Truthfully, I was expecting your average romance going into the movie, and even thought a little into it. However, A Whisker Away completely blew away my expectations for romance movies, and I think it's safe to say that my standards are basically screwed over now. Seriously, this thing is underrated, and in my ...

This felt magical, it felt like a studio gibli film without too much MAGIC BUT STILL HAS FLAVOR. I love the story because it reminds of those old school Disney movies. Netflix giving money to these studios that are really good is amazing. Pacing, and animation was amazing. The music it was a eh for my part. The art style (It looked a bit plain like a regular low budget anime tv series. The art-style is not that bad at all, it's just plain. I do love this movie but there is plenty of better ones out there like "A silent voice", "Your name" ...

Welcome to my very first Anime Review. Today we shall be covering one of the animated films streaming off Netflix. “A Whisker Away”. This film has gotten some very mixed reviews so I thought I’ll just go ahead and give you my honest opinion about the film. Now this review was originally written for a YouTube video I was planning but considering I wrote a decent amount I figured it would be suitable for MAL. Anyways let’s get on to the review!

The Story:

I loved the story in this movie. It was very different and unique. It’s one of those films that just feels atmospheric ...

Since the ratings for this movie wasn't all that high, I thought I would just watch it while doing work and not expect much of it.... how I regret that decision. This movie Isn't perfect and some people might have a problem with the MC being too clingy and eccentric. But overall, I think this movie has got really relatable themes and situations. Without giving away too much, this movie puts a heavy emphasis on "appreciating what you have before you lose it". A lot of times we get too caught up in our own misery we forget about the people around us. This film ...

There's something quite wistful about the idea of leaving behind all we know from our human realm and going somewhere else. Where? For some it never really matters where, as long as it's not here. We all struggle, or will struggle, eventually, and the natural urge to want to run away to where the pastures are greener is a natural impulse. Blending that with a bit of fantasy, and a dollop of romance, and you get A Whisker Away, a delightful film that lands somewhere between the charm of The Cat Returns with the contemporary perspective of Your Name. And while it may exceed both ...

Cats. Lazing in the sun all day long without a care in the world. Covid-19? International conflict? Protests everywhere? Climate change? Those are human worries.

Wouldn’t you want to become a cat, and not worry about all the complicated shit plaguing modern society? I’m sure we’ve all entertained thoughts of being transported into some isekai, or turning into someone else and just not be *you*. With that said, please enjoy this amateurish review of Nakineko, a movie about a girl who transforms into a cat to get close to her crush.

Story:7
Nakineko captures our thoughts of escaping reality by turning them into cats. ...

The story of a human who can turn into a cat, a cat world and a human world... A light-heartedly unique story on the surface, this movie is truly a honest, loveable, relatable, and enjoyable movie all around.

*Spoiler-free review, although I do spoil the trailers a bit, so go watch those first if you're interested*

Story: 9
The story, on the surface, seems fairly interesting. It has supernatural elements, romance elements, and tells a romance story in a somewhat unique way. I kept that in mind when I started to watch the movie. Honestly, as a person who isn't a huge fan of the supernatural, I initially ...

If you want something kawaii than go on and watch it!
I watched it and it's a nice movie. Nice characters nice story, plot and everything is nice about it. At the beginning it was a bit weird with all the cat things but it will be ok. The protagonist is kawaii too. The movie appeared today I think and I watched it on Netflix. Yes it is available on Netflix so for Netflix users is easy to watch it. It has only the original sound it is not available with english Dub. yet but Netflix says that it will be but it is delayed ...

Boys and Girls just beware if someone sell something to you that too good to be true but for free, it means a scam.

A Whisker Away is a great movie that can portrayed a lot of young boy and girl problem during their school days. Have you ever felt you couldn't express your true feeling? When the world is not in your side. Everyone just looks pretending to care about you but never understand your feeling. Miyo Sasaki and Kento Hinode is just example of those children.

Being child is not always about happy story, some of them lost their parents in their early days ...

If expressing oneself is complicated enough already, then what more if the words were straight from the heart?

The film A Whisker Away portrays the internal battles of today's generation especially in terms of conveying their true feelings. Different masks are built by a person based on the people around them, often switching which mask to wear, to hide their genuine feelings for good.

It's these struggles that made the film quite gripping, especially when complemented with Yorushika's uplifting soundtracks. The visuals are what you would expect from an anime film, and the plot is easily understood.

The characters, Miyo with her compulsive affection towards her love interest ...

First of all,
The story:-

The story was kinda mediocre, bit expected at some if not all points, it was really steady, and it introduced us to the cast & "cats" their problems and their life and yada yada, in such a smooth, subtle,& convenient way, not slapping it to the face, or hiding it away in piles of rubble.

The Art:-

The art was really nice, smoothly done, but not as beautiful as it shouldve been, there was some stale frames, no background interactions whatsoever, that's about it for the bg, it was fine.

The Sound:-

Goddamn it, I just witnessed such an epically boring and insufferable crapfest! Ouch. Was that too harsh? Well, it pains me to say it but that opening statement is nothing but true.

*Also, if there is anything you should take away from this review (even if you're not going to read further on), I just want to warn you that this movie will be a huge waste of your fucking time*

So imagine my disappointment when I find out that A Whisker Away was made by the Studio Colorido, the same studio that produced Penguin Highway, an anime movie that I recently just watched and absolutely ...

First of all, I just wanna say that I really like the plot of the movie because of its uniqueness and there are some situations that I can relate to. For me, its characters have their own personalities and they are not annoying at all to watch. And also, the fact that there are cats involved in the story is cute and relaxing to me as well. Overall, I can say that they did a good job for this movie although I kinda expected something more from it. But yeah, I can recommend this to others especially those people who love cats.

THIS ANIME CURES DEPRESSION

Lol, I'm very bias when it comes to this anime. I like cats & there's a ton of them in this anime.

I have re-watched this during a time of pain & it takes my mind off the pain.

This anime is among the animes that make it worth having access to Netflix.

The art style is beautiful.

I think the story is great and it is different partly from other stories but the thing is this is a bit cliche at 2020 because it is always the same thing like is he gonna be with her or not I just watched Horimiya recently and I loved that story is very great because it showed after they became together I loved this story only because of the fantasy other than that it is a cliche anime but the other reason I gave it a high rating was because of the character because she was very hype and that is what I liked

Criminally underrated | A perfect romance for begginers

[Spoilerless]

Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu (I will just call it Nakitai for the review) surpised me, I didn't expect such a good movie.

The beginning is not incredible, it's just a classic romance/slice of life school life
Then the setting of the surnatural element (at the first 1/4 of the movie) makes the movie interesting

The surnatural element isn't perfect but it's really good and original, I found Nakitai quite unique. The plot is basic but the characters aren't : characters express itself step by step throughout the film and develops smoothly, even if they're a little cliché
